Who operates Markets QA
Markets QA is operated by Rory Hayes, based in Dublin, Ireland. Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to roryh1@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how Markets QA handles information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the app, visits our website, or asks for support.
Information we process
We process only the information needed to run the service:
- store identity and installation details, including the store domain, granted access scopes, and installation session;
- market configuration, product availability, product counts, currency, pricing summaries, domains, and localized web-presence settings;
- baselines, scan results, findings, ignored findings, monitoring preferences, plan status, and alert destination;
- technical logs needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention; and
- details you choose to send in a support request.
Markets QA does not request or process orders, customer records, payment details, or Shopify customer personal data.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate the app, create and compare market baselines, send requested alerts, enforce plan limits, answer support requests, prevent misuse, and improve service reliability.
We do not sell merchant data, use it for advertising, or use store data to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
Service providers and transfers
We may use carefully selected infrastructure, database, email, error monitoring, and payment providers to operate Markets QA. Shopify processes app subscription payments. Providers may only process data to deliver their contracted service and must protect it appropriately.
Retention and deletion
Active-store data is kept while the app is installed and for as long as needed to provide the service. After uninstall, we delete the store's monitoring data within 30 days, except for limited records required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
Merchants can request earlier deletion through the support page. Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks are also honored.
Security and your choices
We use access controls, encrypted connections, secret management, and least-privilege Shopify permissions. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we review and improve these controls as the service changes.
You can update alert preferences in the app, uninstall at any time, or contact support to request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated for material changes. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through our support page or by email to roryh1@gmail.com.
